Film and Funds for Gaza: The Time That Remains

Join South Philly Autonomous Cinema and Philly Socialists for another afternoon of Palestinian film, fundraising, and solidarity at Making Worlds Bookstore! We will be screening Elia Suleiman’s The Time That Remains (2009). This semi-autobiographical film uses Suleiman’s dark sense of absurdity to examine the creation of the Israeli nation-state from 1948 to the present.
All proceeds from this screening will be split between The Sameer Project, which supplies emergency shelter and aid, and Gaza Champions, which provides direct funds to Palestinians seeking to rebuild their lives in Gaza.
This event is all ages. Masks are requested to be worn except when eating or drinking and will be supplied at the door.
